With the help of family and friends, we purchased the dusty old girl in December of 2023. We had never owned or operated a hotel before or done anything nearly this ambitious. From renovating the bathrooms, to building a Victorian-inspired library and lounge area, we have worked hard to give the Grand Canyon Hotel a much needed refresh while leaning into that vintage charm and history that makes the her so iconic.
We've replaced the mattresses, pillows, linens, redecorated, painted and fixed hundreds of small issues throughout.
Right in the central hub of all things Williams, The Grand Canyon Hotel was Northern Arizona's first hotel, and Arizona's longest lasting hotel to boot. It began it's journey as way stop for travelers heading to the Grand Canyon, with a carriage that took sight-searers to the South Rim.
It's changed hands a few times over the years, and was abandoned sometime in the 70s or 80s before it was purchased in 2004 and rehabilitated by it's previous owners.
Our goal is to provide a personable, clean, and comfortable resting place to serve as your jumping off point to the Grand Canyon and other Route 66 adventures!
We’ve redecorated, renovated the bathrooms, built a Victorian-inspired library, purchased all new mattresses, linens, and much more! While we have come a long way, we have further to go in making needed repairs and improvements.
It may be that you hear the thud of a hammer or the rattling clang of a ladder during your stay. While we labor to keep these distractions between check out and check in times, we pray for your forgiveness if your rest is disturbed in any way.
As you might expect, we are not like other hotels. There are nooks, there are crannies. There are squeaks and there are creaks. Sounds tend to carry where you least expect them, and a draft or two may not always be avoided. If you have any issues at all, we aim to fix them immediately.
